A Guide On Multi Domain Hosting_64006

When you have many ideas for a business or a hobby website, you invest in domains that may become the next big product or service. Buying multiple domains may sound expensive, but purchasing and renewing domains come on a yearly basis, hosting those domains will cost a fortune. However, find a webhost that lets subscribers host more than one domain, or Multi Domain Hosting, will save you plenty that would have paid for having the domains at all.

For example: say that you have an existing website with a website hosting provider, and you have an idea for a website startup, registering a domain for that service. Once you have the domain, you commence on building your website without having to worry about paying anything again until the domain is due again. But when the time comes around for testing the site on a live server, how do you test it without having to buy another hosting package?

To proceed in hosting the new domain, you simply need an FTP account from the host to upload the files. In order to access the new website, sub-folders are uploaded to your existing root folder. Once the files are uploaded, users will be able to access the new domain.

If your host features cPanel, it will be easier to set up the website by following instructions from both the webhost and the domain registrar. This is done by redirecting the domain's DNS server address to the host's DNS server from the control panel on the registrar's website. After a few hours or more, visitors can now access your new website as if it were a totally different website. Also, if your host has unlimited space and bandwidth, you will not have to worry about accumulating bandwidth that will render both of your sites unavailable.

Hosting multiple domains may also be a good source of minimum income by providing users hosting for a fee. This is not recommended for a Share Hosting account as there are some limitations between you and your customers in case of a problem, unless you are hosting websites between close colleagues for small projects. Getting a Reseller account is the best way to host domains for other people with custom limits on Disk Space and Bandwidth usage.

If you are currently without a host at all, a lot of hosting companies offer Unlimited Domain Hosting for as much as $8 a month. It might cost a little more if other features are offered with the packages such as cPanel. A few may offer a set up fee which is required right away upon checkout.

You can indeed have multiple domains with Multi Domain Hosting. So when you want or have an existing domain that has not been used yet, you can give it life. There will be no need to pay extra or have to pay for another hosting account.
